WAGGOL was very happy to be given the opportunity to design and create the sponsorship forms and the T-Shirts worn by the amazing 4 young men [Kenny, Steven,Liam and Darryl] who did a sponsored climb of Ben Nevis to raise funds for The Great North Childrens Hospital RVI PICU in honour of Kaciee-Jayne who was in a coma and was nursed back by the hero's of PICU.
WAGGOLS first donations of 2025 went to SARAS Animal Rescue.
In need of blankets for their faminal to keep them warm and snuggled.
WAGGOL was so happy to be able to help this amazing team of people in any way we can.
If you can help SARAS please click on the photo to find out more about their amazing work in animal rescue and welfare.
Thank you SARAS 💚🐾
At WAGGOL we do our best to help out the faminals of our homeless in the community.
Recently we met a beautiful old boy called Buddha who with his pappa, lives on the streets.
Buddha is very much loved and it shows. His pappa would go hungry to make sure Buddha doesn't have to. At 12yrs old, Buddha is a loyal and loving support to his pappa just as much as his pappa is to him. Giving each other unconditional love and support and companionship through vulnerable times.
We thought, what can we do to make things a little easier for them both.
We asked if Buddha needed anything and we were told by Buddha's pappa that he'd just managed to get Buddha treatment for his eyes but was hoping by the end of the day he would be able to get him some Worming treatment. We made a donation of some treatments, treats and food and water for Buddha and some food and drinks for his pappa. We left them knowing at least the next few days they will have food and drinks and Buddha has his treatment.
WAGGOL donated things people don't usually think of in these situations and if you are in a situation and able to help a homeless furboy or girl here are a few things that would go a long way.
Flea Treatment
Worming Tablets
Plain Bottled Water
Dry Food or Tinned (we always ask if the fubaby has allergies or needs something specific to help) and if you can stretch to it, a little treat.
We have a policy of not giving cash donations and would rather donate a warm or cold meal and a beverage. Treats and toys, blankets and when needed tents.
We have seen Buddha and his pappa a few times and helped each time as we find giving what's needed that day rather than a big donation helps more. We haven't seen Buddha recently but we hope if you walk by and see those eyes looking up at you, maybe you could give the gift of a little waggol.
What we see as small can make a huge difference to someone homeless and their pawesome companions.

There are resources and links to organisations and groups on our resources page.
Find your local shelter on social media or online and donate old blankets you no longer use, a spare bag of food or toys or give your time as volunteers and welcomed open armed at rescues.
Find a local food bank and add something extra to your weekly shop and build a box to drop off and help a local family and remeber, as tin of cat food or dog food can help more than you know.
Have a spare 30 minutes, check on elderly neighbours to see if there's any help they need, they could pass you everyday with a smile and still have a very lonely heart.
Take old clothes and shoes, coats and scarves to local clothing bins outside of supermarkets.
There is so much we can all do to make someone's life that little bit easier. Be kind it costs nothing and can make you feel as good as the person or animal receiving it.
