Dominic Phillips Art is a treasure to behold. I have come to know this incredibly talented artist over the past few years and i find myself fortunate enough to own some of Dominics fine art.
Dominic possesses the ability to tell a story through his Art, his imagination is a place I've longed to explore and delve into.
Dominic is an outstanding modern day talent who's work and craft cross many genres of art. Dominic's imagination is vast, and he is generous with his pieces. Creating a plethora of art in the form of origonal pieces, digital Ltd Edt prints so he does not flood the market with his work, making it so much more special to own. He also offers a selection of bespoke notelets, cards, bookmarks and collections of mini prints. Dominic has also designed textiles for other bespoke boutiques and done commissions for lucky customers as 'one of a kind' pieces.
Dominic is the master of his tools and imagination, he beats to his own drum and stays authentic in his pieces to his passion and it shows.
From the animal kingdom to Alice's Wonderland, his quirky Owl series to the most stunningly unique detailed pieces, there is something in Dominic's extensive catalogue of art for everyone.
He is an approachable artist and is a perfectionist to detail no matter how intricate. You can look into Dominics pieces and find endless stories in each piece created. Dominics art can also be quite metaphorical which I personally enjoy. Not afraid to change it up for a customer yet staying authentic to himself is one of the many reasons he is my favourite modern day artist.

Lisa Taggart is an extremely gifted Mixed Media Artist and she is also an educator from Northern Ireland.
I stumbled upon Lisa on her successful YouTube Channel 'Inkybliss Creations' after seeing a promo for Lavinia stamps on social media. The first tutorial I saw was 'Toadstool Brook' and I was so taken by Lisa's ability to project her imagination through her tutorials I have never looked back and wait eagerly for her next weekly tutorial.
Lisa is generous with her extensive knowledge on everything mixed media and I became an avid pupil. Lisa is not afraid to take chances and feom the moment Lisa presents you with her process of where that tutorial is going, you become enveloped in her teaching. I call her the 'Architect of Mixed Media' her foundation, the surface on to which she layers her thoughts and ideas, her tools, the pen and brush, the mediums and substrates and finally her imagination. Lisa builds a picture meticulous to detail and intricate. Depth and dimension adds to the layers and Lisa has a way with light akin to Thomas Kinkade with the ability to make you feel warmth in the glow. I always become immersed in her stories, I say that because to call them simply pictures would be an injustice to Lisa's talent. You can walk past her pieces and see something different every time. I feel fortunate to own a few of Lisa's pieces and they are even more exceptional to the naked eye.
We all need a Lisa Taggart in our lives as her art is therapy 💜
A stunning mixed media piece by Lisa Taggart.
Exceptional detail and multilayered colours to this deep immersion into whimsical and magical wonderment.
Lisa's work evokes emotion of all levels, joy, bliss, memory of times gone by and love and I think we can all find something different in these stunning works by Lisa.
This particular one for me evokes yearning as my response to my sons "I love you to the moon and back mamma" was "I love you more" and I feel this is an I love you more piece. There's a serenity and peaceful abandonment in the pieces message for me personally. The tones are sublime and the depth breathtaking.
Another stunning work of mixed media from Lisa taggart.
This piece has me wanting to slip of my slippers and dip my toes in the reflective calm river under the starry moonlit sky, sit pensively while I wait for my broth to finish cooking so I can enjoy a hearty meal sat beside the open fire in my comfy cottage with my furboy Winston. And as I let out a sigh of bliss as I hear those words back in my head it tells me once more the talent of Lisa being able to project that feeling from the image to my mind is a rare gift to have.
A piece of depth, layers and beauty!
A vibrant burst of imagination from Lisa in this tutorial. Unapologetically authentic in her approach and not afraid to take risks or use colour, this work shows what can be brought from the imagination to the media of choice. Lisa has the ability to take 2 dimensional stamps and make them do a 3 dimentional dance on the page!
Lisa makes it easy to follow and learn with her 'no stress' medative like tutorials. I get carried away and immerse myself in the background music and the knowledgeable soft voice of Lisa which makes it a beautiful learning experience. Such an awesome talent.
Follow Lisa on her social media, check out her stunning art on her website, give it a go yourself or be fortunate enough to own one of Lisa's exquisite and exclusive pieces.

Erica Palfreyman is a gifted artist based in Manchester. A former tattoo studio owner and designer, Erica sites her influences as her 'devine influencer' being herself and that of her emotional frequency when working on collections and you can see in her work she draws on personal experience.
Nobody explains who Erica is better than Erica and I would recommend visiting her website and perusing the beautiful artwork she has created. Erica has an imagination that dips into the quirky, the elegant, the melancholy and the whimsical and magical.
Erica's stunning collections 1 - 9 (presently) tells a beautiful story of a young girl on a magical journey of discovery, born from a quote from an unknown author
"I walk around like everything is fine, but deep down inside, inside my shoe, my sock is falling off"
Poignant and encompassing of the story of Cotton Socks.

Cold press is quite absorbent and will dry faster and gives extra texture and character to a piece, whereas hot press is good if ypu are using a pen, graphite or ink and gives a smoother surface and is less absorbent and allows you more time with your project.
Alcohol Markers dry a lot faster than water-based Markers so the type depends on what your project involves.
There is less likelihood of Alcohol Markers smudging but then water-based Markers allows you to play for longer
Stamping is a favourite for crafters as it allows image building in a more simplified way. There is a whole selection of stamps out there, polymere, rubber, wooden backed and fabric wooden stamps and too many more to mention.
I do have my favourites which will be in 'My Favourite Things' page I am working on now, so watch this space.
